An Australian mountain community near Cairns is called Kuranda, located in Queensland. In addition to the Kuranda Scenic Railway, which winds through the lush rainforests. The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway offers gondola rides above a tropical rainforest. Barron Falls, a majestic waterfall cascades over rocky rocks and into the Barron River.

While you are in Kuranda, there are so many great attractions. You may like to have a photo taken cuddling a koala and Tree Kangaroo. Hop aboard the Riverboat for a cruise down the Barron River. During the cruise, keep an eye out for freshwater crocodiles and turtles.

Close by. You can visit Kurcow Farm to taste their delicious fresh produce. The kids will love a hayride and the petting farm during your visit.
The largest butterfly sanctuary in Australia has amazing butterflies and is well worth a visit.
Next, hop on the Rainforestation shuttle to visit this wonderful attraction. While you are here, you can learn to throw a boomerang and play the didgeridoo. Then hop onboard an army duck tour through this fantastic attraction.
Getting to Kuranda
There are two ways to experience the best of Kuranda, and it does not matter whether you take the trip to or from.
Take your choice of one way in the spectacular views from the Cairns Skyrail as it hovers over the top of the rainforest canopy of the World Heritage Wet tropics.
The other direction must be in the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway.
The views will be spectacular along the way, particularly in our wet season when the Barron Falls are thundering with water.
