Second, relax on the Kuranda Scenic Railway and enjoy the historic railway dating back to 1886.

Kuranda railway was constructed to climb from sea level 328 metres up the Macalister Range.  The train travels through 15 handmade tunnels and over 37 bridges before arriving in Kuranda Village.

The Kuranda railway was constructed to reach the goldfields and to access the valuable timbers from the Barron Gorge.

How long is the train ride?
