Mamu Tropical Skywalk the Boardwalk in the Rainforest Canopy

Just 15 minutes from Innisfail, the Mumu Tropical Skywalk is a great way to see and learn about the tropical rainforest.  The Mamu Tropical Skywalk is the traditional country of the Mamu Aboriginal People.  They welcome you and ask that you visit respectfully.

Open daily from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.  The Mamu Tropical Skywalk is informative and educational.

We recommend allowing at least one and a half hours for this activity.

About the Skywalk

An elevated walk through the clouds, with breathtaking views over the World Heritage Tropical Rainforest.

Constructed with unpainted galvanised steel and recycled plastic. Not only beautiful but sustainable too!

Get up close to some of the spectacular butterflies and various bird species.

Mamu Tropical Skyrail

Explore the rainforest from the floor to the canopy, with an elevated walkway rising from ground level.

The boardwalk is 15 metres high, with an observation tower escalating to 37 metres! The Skywalk is 2.5 kilometres long.

There are comfortable seating options along the way if you need a rest.

Hear the Ma Mu stories and learn about the traditional uses of many of the trees, plants and animals.

Accessibility

Wheelchair users can enjoy all facilities and walking tracks, except the observation tower.

Mamu Tropical Skyrail has tap rails, handrails and tactile directional signs along all tracks and sky rails.

Braille and large print guides are available from the ticket office upon request.
