Your Cooktown tour takes you along the scenic Great Barrier Reef Drive from Cairns. The only place in the world where two World Heritage locations meet! On route, we travel between the two – the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforest. Your experienced guide will teach you all about the natural environment and history of this incredible region.

Cross the mighty Daintree River on the cable ferry. Continuing, you’ll stop off at Cape Tribulation for a delicious morning tea. Travel off the beaten path on the 4WD Bloomfield Track – only accessible by 4WD. Traverse the jungle river crossings and steep mountain ranges. Along the way, we will visit the famous Lion Den Hotel. One of Queensland’s iconic pubs built-in 1875!
Discover the history of Cooktown
In the early afternoon, you will arrive in Cooktown. This is the site of Captain Cook’s landing in 1770. You’ll learn all about the history of this event. Next, we will visit Grassy Hill to enjoy spectacular panoramic views. Take is the lay of the land, the township, the Coral Sea and Endeavour River.
Stroll through the town at your own pace while you enjoy some free time. A transfer to Cooktown Airport is included for your 5:45 pm scenic flight back to Cairns.
Cross the Daintree River by Cable Ferry. Cape Tribulation and the 4WD only Bloomfield Track. Learn about the intricacies of this fragile Eco-system. Travel through this remote and beautiful environment.
Cross rivers and mountain ranges. Lunch at the famous Lions Den Hotel. Visit the mysterious Black Mountains. Have your camera ready for the 360-degree views from Grassy Hill of the Coral Sea, Endeavour River and Cooktown.
Enjoy up to 2 hours to explore historical Cooktown. Then your scenic flight to Cairns with Hinterland Aviation. Spectacular views along the Daintree Coast and the Great Barrier Reef.
Arrive at Cairns General Aviation Airport. (Transfers not included to your accommodation).

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation fees are as follows
20% cancellation fee 30 days or more before departure
50% cancellation fee if within 30 days before departure
100% cancellation fee within 14 days before departures

Scuba Diving Insurance
All passengers are strongly advised to purchase a comprehensive Travel Insurance policy that includes trip cancellation insurance and Evacuation & Medical cover for scuba diving.
Please be aware that not all Travel Insurance companies cover scuba diving and in-water activities. Please read the wording of your policy carefully.
Any evacuation, vessel relocation, or medical expenses are the diver's financial responsibility in a Medical Emergency. We strongly recommend the purchase of dive insurance.
Cancellation / Rescheduling Policy
We reserve the right to change vessel, dive locations, and prices without notice.
Please note we must receive at least 48 hours' notice from you when choosing to cancel or reschedule a reservation. Cancellation refunds are not given within 48 hours' notice. This includes factors beyond your control, including medical problems, airline delays, bad weather, etc.
Please refer to the Trade Practices Act 1974. Travel Insurance is highly recommended.

Terms And Conditions
All children on tour must be accompanied by an adult. Adventure North Australia reserves the right to cancel any tour, change vehicle type or arrange an alternative carrier if the numbers in a group are insufficient. Adventure North Australia reserves the right to alter the tour or itinerary of schedules to another operator if necessary. No refund will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of a tour resulting from any cause including severe weather, road conditions or mechanical failure.
Adventure North Australia will not be liable for any costs incurred by failure to connect with any other service and cannot guarantee pick up or drop off times and are not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services. Whilst we make every effort to safe guard our clients and their belongings we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to events which are beyond our control.Any personal expenses incurred by the passenger as a result of any delay, alteration or curtailment of any tour wether caused by weather conditions, mechanical defects or any other causes are at the responsibility of the passenger
