Munro Martin Parklands

Martin Munro Parklands is on the corner of Florence Street and Sheridan Street in Cairns.

Open daily from 6:00 am to 8;30 pm except for ticketed events.

This venue is a vine park with stunning tropical vines covering over 70 purpose-built pergolas and arbours surrounding the large green areas.

There are almost 300 vines planted along these walkways with stunning red Flame of the Forest vines and the turquoise jade vine.

This stunning open-air plaza opened in August 2016 and is perfect for open-air ballet, theatre and concerts.

This venue has six gates, the main one being on Florence street and two gates on Minnie Street and another two on Grafton Street.

All guests must enter through the main gates during a ticketed event.

This stunning venue has already hosted many live music events, festivals and ballet.

Enjoy a walk through the Parklands. It’s a beautiful Cairns attraction.

Munro Martin Parklands is also known as MMP.  This park was named after the ‘Caring sisters’, Janet Munro and Margaret Martin, and there is a marble Obelisk Memorial monument in their memory.

Take a picnic

Visitors can take a picnic and enjoy the beautiful green lawns of the Martin Munro parkland.  Please take all rubbish with you when you leave.
