Billy Tea Safaris Cape Tribulation 4wd tour

Billy Tea Safaris Cape Tribulation 4wd tour – a premium day tour to the Daintree Rainforest. Travel to Cape Tribulation! The Bloomfield Track lets you see the best the Daintree National Park offers. Cape Tribulation is part of the Daintree Rainforest and is made up of several sections, starting at Mossman and ending north of Cape Tribulation through to the Bloomfield Track.

Your Journey Begins

As you drive north from Cairns along the winding ocean road, the Captain Cook Highway is one of the best in Australia and a travel destination icon. Lush farmland contrasts with seascape as we approach the majestic Daintree River.

Learn all about the Aussie Icon – the estuarine crocodile on a 1-hour river cruise.

Experience the Rainforest first-hand on the elevated National Park Boardwalk. Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch. Have the chance to hand feed a kangaroo and enjoy a cold drink.

Next, Billy Tea Safaris heads a further 7 km along the 4WD Bloomfield Track, arriving at pristine Emmagen Creek. Have a refreshing swim. Look for fish and turtles in the creek and butterflies and birds in the trees. Next, we are off to Cape Tribulation Beach, where you can enjoy a walk along the white sands or to the lookout.

Travelling with a maximum of 16 passengers per vehicle, you will learn about the history, flora and fauna of the Daintree Rainforest from the expert commentary of your experienced Environmental Driver/Guide.

Your friendly, licenced guide will meet you at your lodging to begin your full-day Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation 4WD Bloomfield Track tour from Cairns. Following introductions, we travel north along the Captain Cook Highway’s magnificent scenic coastal route while learning about the region’s history and taking in breathtaking views of the coastline and the Coral Sea’s azure waters.

Morning tea, coffee, and biscuits are served at the Majestic Daintree River during our first stop before embarking on an educational guided river cruise through the Daintree Rainforest. This is nature at its best as you unwind and take in the beauty that only the Daintree Rainforest can provide while learning about estuarine crocodiles, mangrove forests, and endemic wildlife.

Stop 2: Alexandra Range Lookout – We ascend over the Alexandra Range and stop for a panoramic view of the Coral Sea’s azure hues blending with Wet Tropics and Tropical Rainforest, a World Heritage Site.

Stop 3: Guided Boardwalk Daintree Rainforest Tour. On one of our escalating National Park Boardwalk tours, you can get a close-up view of the rainforest. As we search for the elusive, rare, and completely unique Southern Cassowary and other wildlife species within this particular habitat, your knowledgeable guide will take you on a wonderful journey through this ancient rainforest while providing you with an interpretation of the flora and fauna. You will have plenty of time for photographs and questions.

Stop 4: Lunch – In the Daintree Rainforest, have lunch at a local café.

We will take you past the well-known Daintree Tea Plantation, past breathtaking mountains, and through the breathtaking World Heritage Rainforest as we pass Cape Tribulation and continue along the 4WD Bloomfield Track through to pristine Emmagen Creek. Stop 5: Wildlife Spotting and Freshwater Swim. Billy Tea Safaris is the only tour company that visits this undiscovered “Jewel in the Rainforest,” and it’s time for a revitalising swim in a rainforest stream with fresh water that is crystal clear and uncrowded.

Cape Tribulation Beach is our sixth stop. We arrive there after the majority of the tourists have left and stroll along the boardwalk and beach to the photographers’ platform that overlooks the mountains and coast where “the Rainforest Meets the Reef.”

On our way home, we make a pit stop at the Daintree Ice-Cream Company for delicious homemade ice cream. (Ice cream is an extra charge.)

Due to weather, road conditions, potential road closures, and the safety of all passengers, itineraries are also subject to change, modification, and the Billy Tea Safaris guide on the day may decide some destinations cannot be reached.
