A must for all visiting anglers the Daintree River offers the best of freshwater and saltwater fishing.  Keep an eye out for crocodiles there are plenty of them in the river and sunning themselves on the river banks.   In the saltwater section, Mangrove Jack and Barramundi, while further upstream in the freshwater pop in a crab pot for some tasty mud crabs.   Be prepared to catch Rainbow trout, catfish, butterfish, freshwater bream and spangles grunters.
