Paragliding Cairns

Soar above the tropical coastline and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the rainforest, beaches, and the Great Barrier Reef.

Tandem flights are available daily from June to September, typically between 12 pm and 5 pm. Firstly, please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled flight time. We recommend allowing 60-90 minutes from your booking time to accommodate signing documentation, the pre-flight briefing, possible weather-related delays, and the actual flying time.

Wangetti Beach, at the end of Wangetti Beach Road, is a 2-minute drive from Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures and Rex Lookout, a 30-minute drive from Port Douglas, and a 40-minute drive from Cairns. Car parking is available.

Optional Free Returns

Passengers can request optional free return transfers from Cairns City, Palm Cove, and Trinity Beach (if required). Depending on tandem flight times, two-timing options are available:

1. Morning pick-up: Suitable for tandem flights at 12pm, 12:30pm, 1pm, 1:30pm, 2pm. Pick-up times and locations are noted below. Return departure from Wangetti Beach will be around 3pm.
From Cairns City – 10:45am – Gilligan’s (89 Grafton Street); 10:50am – Opposite Reef Hotel Casino (34 Esplanade); 10:55am – Double Tree by Hilton (121-123 Esplanade)
From Trinity Beach – 11:10am (call to request pick-up location)
Or from Palm Cove – 11:20am (call to request pick-up location)

2. Afternoon pick-up: Suitable for tandem flights at 2:30pm, 3pm, 3:30pm, 4pm, 4:30pm. Pick-up times and locations are noted below. Return departure from Wangetti Beach will be around 5:30pm.
From Cairns City – 1:15pm – Gilligan’s (89 Grafton Street); 1:20pm – Opposite Reef Hotel Casino (34 Esplanade); 1:25pm – Double Tree by Hilton (121-123 Esplanade)
From Trinity Beach – 1:40pm (call to request pick-up location)

Booking is required – please choose the relevant pick-up option and pick-up time/location when making your booking. Failure to do so may result in transport being unavailable. You must arrive at your pick-up point 10 minutes before the meet time to avoid missing your transport.

• Minimum age is 11 years (no maximum age limit!).
• Weight range for paragliding is between 30-120kg.
• Basic fitness and good general health are required for safety.
